Experience spring in the Norwegian fjords with Christian

Join storyteller and content creator Christian, knows as @friluftsbjerke, as he takes us with him on a peaceful wander through the Norwegian fjords, just as they awaken from a long, cold winter. Through his eyes, we explore the breathtaking landscapes of Geiranger, Loen and Olden - nestled in the municipality of Stranda in central Norway, and home to some of the country's most iconic sights.

May is the month when the fjords come back to life. Orchards burst into bloom, filling the air with a light, sweet scent and painting the valleys with endless shades of green. The air grows warmer, gently inviting wanderers to explore the fjords' hidden paths. As the winter snow melts, crystal-clear water returns to the cascading falls, eventually reaching the still, cool depths below. As Christian puts it, 'being among the fjords is like stepping into a painting that never fades'.

Spectacular rock faces, crashing waterfalls, lush forests and abundant orchards come together in a sensory symphony, leaving us in awe of this truly dramatic and one-of-a-kind landscape.

Having grown up in the fjords, they have always been part of Christian's life. But that doesn't mean he's grown used to the astonishing views - far from it.

'The fjords are where time stands still, and nature takes the spotlight - untouched, raw, and breathtakingly beautiful. It’s always inspiring to capture the raw beauty of the landscape that I know so well.'

We created our scent FJORD after exploring several Norwegian fjords and being moved by the power and the softness of these ancient giants, carved by the movement of glaciers over millennia. After trying it, Christian describes the fragrance as 'capturing the crispness of Nordic air and the feeling of standing at the edge of the world, surrounded by towering cliffs and endless water.'

FJORD is our way of sharing one of our favourite place on Earth - for those who might not be able to visit, or for anyone who wants to bring a part of it home. All while honouring and preserving the fragile nature that makes it so special.
